Search Terms

The site is designed not to overload your pc with too many results. Images are not listed in galleries but are held in a database which can be searched.

Having problems? This is why...

If you are trying to browse the whole database, one of the features of the search function is that if a term applies to over 50% of the images, then the search engine deems that term too common and will not return any results. A second feature is that search terms have to be at least four characters long.

Try this instead...

As images are added to the site, the likelihood of terms being deemed too common will reduce, but in the meantime try one of the following:

1. Use a year from 2006 onwards as the search term - we catalogue all images by year of capture

2. Use a colour, type of flower, location or even season of the year. The following are examples of terms which have been used when cataloguing images and should give access to the vast majority of the images currently available.

Pink, Purple, Blue, Yellow, Cream, Green, Black, White, Reds (not 'red'), Orange

Rose, Eryngium, Thistle, Celosia

Wedding, Anniversary

Landscape, Interior Design

Using two search terms

Entering two (or more) terms will return results for images relating to either one term or the other. The search will not return only those images for which both terms are relevant (Boolean searching does not apply).

As we add images to the image bank, we will suggest terms which may be used to refine your search.

Note that commissioned images are protected from general access because serach terms have to match exactly with the image - only your assigned password will access your commissioned images.
